Al-Azem Palace is considered a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture, as it was designed in the Arab Islamic Ottoman style, as it contains a number of halls, water fountains and internal and external gardens, which made it one of the most important Islamic buildings. The area of the palace is about 6400 square meters and is located in the north of the Bzuriyeh market in Damascus next to the Great Umayyad Mosque The Palace was built by Minister Asaad al-Azm in 1749 CE.
