Industrial working map between Syria and Russia

Director of Planning and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Industry, Iyad Maklad, revealed that the ministry is working on the implementation of a work map for the development of trade and industrial cooperation between Syria and the Russian Federation, which includes a number of industrial projects in priority areas, through which to identify agreed steps to allow the Russian side to participate in reconstruction The Syrian economy has recovered.
 
Maklad said that the procedures implemented in cooperation in the industrial field are good, pointing out that the General Company for Tires in Hama has been rehabilitated in cooperation between the Ministry and the Planning and International Cooperation Authority by providing the Russian company with all the information related to the production lines.
 
He stressed that the Russian company is supposed to send its experts to conduct evaluation studies and prepare technical and financial offers and to provide the chemical institution for study.
 
Maklad revealed that it was agreed to submit technical and commercial offers for the establishment of a cement plant with a production capacity of 2 million tons per year on the land of Al-Shahba in Aleppo and Al-Musalmiyya plant, and the Ministry has already been informed of the offers and has been referred to the General Organization for Cement for study.
 
He added that there is also a project for the rehabilitation of the Arab Company for Cement in Aleppo, in cooperation between the ministries of industry and finance and the Planning and International Cooperation Authority, adding: “Russian experts visited the engineering company and agreed to submit offers to qualify and raise its production capacity to reach 1.5 million tons per year. ”.
 
He pointed out that one of the proposed projects with the Russian side is a project to extract silicon from the Syrian quartz sand to produce photovoltaic cells and other products, stressing that the Russian company has been handed over the technical specifications and quartz sand which in turn sent information related to the establishment of this project and was referred to the General Organization for Engineering Industries for study and communication with the company. Russian to provide information on the location of the project and the proximity to the raw material for the preparation of technical and financial proposals.
