Mdiq Castle area

Founded by Seleucus Nicator I, then the Romans conquered it until the Arabs conquered it in the year 638 AD. Also, Nur ad-Din Zangi restored the castle after the famous earthquake in 1157 AD. It is worth noting that Al-Madeek Castle is located on top of a rocky plateau in the Al-Ghab Valley, west of Hama.
