Reopening the commercial port of Latakia

SANA news agency quoted the Director General of Ports, Brigadier Ammar Makhlouf, that this morning the Directorate of Maritime Ports reopened the commercial port of Latakia to maritime navigation because of the improved weather.

Makhlouf pointed out that "the commercial port of Latakia was opened only and the rest of the ports were closed until the weather improved."

Makhlouf called on ships and boats to take caution and safety measures followed in such cases to avoid any accidents.

It is noteworthy that the Directorate closed last Tuesday the ports of Tartous and Lattakia and the mouth of the oil mouth in Banias in addition to the fishing and excursion ports because of the wind speed that reached 90 km / h
