Shaaban: Syria has embarked with Russian companies on the geological exploration of oil
Buthaina Shaaban, political advisor to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, announced that her country has begun, in cooperation with Russian companies, geological exploration and the search for new oil reservoirs in Syria.
She said: "I am talking about it for the first time: Syria has started work in geological exploration for oil and gas, with Russian companies in the Mediterranean."
Shaban stated, in a television interview, that the Syrian government is preparing to prosecute the United States for its practice of looting Syrian oil.
