The Lattakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry received students from the Faculty of Commerce at Al-Manara University as part of a scientific visit. The visit aimed to link academic knowledge with practical application and introduce students to the Chamber’s role in supporting economic, commercial, and industrial activities.During the meeting, Mr. Anas Joud, Chairman of the Lattakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, discussed with the students several economic issues related to the local market reality and the prospects for economic development. He emphasized the importance of enhancing a business environment built on an organized, competitive economy that supports growth and investment, while balancing economic freedom with the protection of the public interest.The meeting also addressed the importance of supporting exports and their role in stimulating production and boosting economic activity. Additionally, participants discussed international trade concepts, mechanisms for evaluating trade partners, and the significance of customs regulations and tariffs in protecting national products and enhancing their competitiveness.During the visit, the students learned about the Chamber’s role in building economic relations with regional and international partners. They also reviewed the ongoing efforts to strengthen economic and investment cooperation, which positively reflects on the economic development of the Lattakia Governorate.This visit is part of the Lattakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s commitment to strengthening communication with academic institutions, supporting youth, and empowering them to understand the economic reality and labor market requirements in a practical and direct manner
