An exceptional week brought the name of Aleppo to prominent international economic platforms during an intensive tour led by Mr. Mohamed Said Sheikh Al-Kar, President of the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce. He placed the interests of Syrian traders and opportunities for investment and economic cooperation at the forefront of the meetings.The tour included several key stops, beginning in Austria, where the Chamber’s President held a series of meetings with Arab and European economic figures and business institutions. This aimed to expand the network of relations and open new horizons for trade and investment between Aleppo and European markets.In Switzerland, the Chamber marked an active participation in the Arab-Swiss Business Forum by attending the TAJIR 2026 Forum in Geneva. Sheikh Al-Kar met with officials, businessmen, and representatives of international economic institutions, emphasizing Aleppo's readiness to attract high-quality investments and rebuild economic partnerships.In Turkey, the delegation participated in the Anatolian City Economies Summit in Gaziantep. Discussions with senior officials and heads of chambers of commerce focused on mechanisms to develop trade and logistical relations between Syria and Turkey, supporting commercial exchange and joint investment.These meetings carried a clear message promoting Aleppo as a promising investment destination recovering its historic economic role and possessing strong fundamentals for growth.
