The Chairman of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Alaa Al-Ali, visited His Excellency the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Shi Hongwei. During the meeting, they discussed prospects for developing economic and trade relations between the two countries and ways to expand areas of joint cooperation. The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman of the Federation, Engineer Issam Al-Ghriwati.Mr. Al-Ali emphasized the importance of elevating the level of economic partnership with the Chinese private sector and encouraging Chinese investments in the Syrian market. He highlighted the role played by the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce in supporting the private sector and fostering economic initiatives that contribute to stimulating trade and investment activities.On his part, Engineer Al-Ghriwati stressed the importance of facilitating visa procedures for Syrian businessmen, which would contribute to enhancing trade and investment exchange and open broader horizons for cooperation between the business communities in both nations.In turn, the Chinese Ambassador affirmed his country's keenness to develop bilateral relations across various economic fields. He pointed out the significance of the upcoming Syrian-Chinese Business Salon, to be held in the Chinese capital, Beijing, as an important platform for launching a new phase of trade and investment cooperation and strengthening direct communication between economic activities on both sides.At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue coordination and communication, and to organize more joint meetings and mutual visits to boost economic and investment cooperation and solidify the partnership between Syria and China, serving the common interests of the two friendly countries
