Clearance and renewal of license and electronic transfer of cars in Syria

The Director of Informatics at the Ministry of Transport, Eng. Raya Arafat, explained that the project of networking between the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Interior aims to provide the possibility of automated inquiry about traffic violations of vehicles when conducting transactions in the transport directorates on the one hand, and to provide the Traffic Department in the Ministry of Interior with vehicle data and revenues and changes On them automatically and daily on the other.
Arafat stated that through this linking, an electronic clearance can be obtained without reviewing the traffic branch as a first step, and then collecting traffic violations through the vehicle program as a next step when the necessary legislation is ready, noting that the memorandum of understanding included the following: An electronic clearance letter for citizens wishing to conduct vehicle transactions from the computer system of the Directorate of Transport, which is represented in the following transactions (renewal of a license - transfer of ownership - transfer of registration - stopping traffic - switching plate for any reason - change category) according to the following procedures:
In case of any of the mentioned transactions, the step of querying the clearance of the vehicle is shown. In case the vehicle is cleared, the transaction will be completed. If there are registered violations on the vehicle restrictions, the type and value of the violations will be reviewed by the transport officer. In the case of the implementation of the system of electronic collection of violations is the electronic link between the Ministries of Interior and Transport to collect the violations.
As for the timing of the start of this project and the targeted governorates, Arafat indicated that it will be started in Damascus and its countryside, while the rest of the governorates will be linked in succession at the readiness of each governorate, while the material cost of the project was by the Ministry of Interior. .
The Director of Information Technology stressed the importance of this step and the steps that will be followed to simplify the procedures of services provided to citizens, and strive to provide the best, reduce red tape, and alleviate the human element, and rely on automation in the completion of vehicle transactions accurately, quickly and respectfully, and search for the easiest solutions that serve the citizen in every step Transactions are carried out in the transport directorates so that this project comes within the direction of the ministry in simplifying transactions as far as possible to reach the single window.
