Al Baraka Bank Syria is investing in the future

As part of its social responsibility program for 2019, Al Baraka Bank - Syria increased the number of partial scholarships it offers to 74. The bank started offering grants for the first time in 2013 because of its belief in the importance of science and its fundamental role in enabling people to strengthen the local community and the national economy.
 
On this occasion, Mr. Mohamed Abdullah Halabi, CEO of Al Baraka Bank Syria stated: “Education is an investment in the future and the true effect of scholarships is on the broad positive social change that it brings, and has always been one of the most important topics adopted by Al Baraka Bank Syria through its program. For social responsibility, as the bank has so far provided partial scholarships to more than 340 students from various academic levels, starting from the basic education stage to the stage of university education, and has also sponsored many social activities that focus on Chapter, education, health, women's empowerment and support projects that aim at achieving sustainable development. "
 
The guarantees for this year included a number of students registered in several societies, which are the Nada Association, the Grass Association, the Role of Bliss Association, the Al-Mabra Women's Association, the Touch of Lips Association, the Touch of Hanan, and the Melody of Life Complex.
 
It is noteworthy that “Al Baraka Bank Syria” won the award for the best bank in the field of sustainable development initiative in the Middle East for the year 2019 according to the international CPI Financial magazine, and it is the first Syrian bank to obtain a certificate of performance statement in accordance with the international standard for social responsibility ISO 26000, which came The coronation of the bank’s keenness to fulfill its responsibilities towards society in all fields, especially educational, training and humanitarian, through the agreements, understandings, contributions and grants it provides.
