The new Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Saeed..who is he?

On Saturday, a session was held to open the will of the late Sultan of Oman, Qaboos bin Saeed, in the presence of a number of senior officials and members of the royal family, and stipulated that Haitham bin Tariq bin Taymur Al Said be named Sultan of Oman, according to the Omani News Agency in its official account on Twitter.
The Royal Family Council entrusted the Defense Council to open the will, as stipulated in Article Six of the Basic Law of the State, and to take measures to confirm those recommended by His Majesty the Sultan in coordination with the Royal Family Council.
Haitham bin Tariq Al Said is a cousin of the late Sultan Qaboos, and he was born in 1954.
 
Sultan Haitham has held various positions in Oman. Previously, he was head of the main committee for the future vision "Oman 2040" and then Minister of Heritage and Culture since February 2002. He also held several positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the Secretary General, the Under Secretary for Political Affairs and the Minister Plenipotentiary.
 
He also assumed the presidency of the Omani Football Association between 1983 and 1986, and chaired the organizing committee of the second Asian Beach Games held in Muscat 2010.
