With the participation of more than 4,500 exhibitors, companies and specialized institutions in the technical field from more than 140 countries, will kick off in Dubai on Sunday, GITEX Week, the largest technical event in the Middle East and North Africa.
The exhibition, which previously featured flying cars and spoken robots, is expected to visit 100,000 people from around the world in its five days.
The 5-day exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Center will showcase the latest digital technologies that will transform people's lifestyle.
The participants will showcase the most important smart solutions that can serve the human being and facilitate the work system, within the framework of the world of technology and digital transformation in the Middle East.
This year's edition highlights 5G technology, which could change the world of communication and technology in the region and the world at large.
Future transportation systems will also have a share of the big event, especially electric and self-driving cars.
The exhibition will reveal the latest developments in the field of artificial intelligence, especially robots that are increasingly used in the fields of life year after year.
Smart cities are expected to be a key component of GITEX 2019, where the interconnected technological development of global cities, which have undergone tremendous technical transformation in recent years, will be reviewed.
Under the umbrella of the Abu Dhabi Government Platform, 32 government and academic entities in Abu Dhabi will participate in the exhibition, under the auspices of the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADAA).
