The Spanish Federation decided to change the shape of the Super Cup, which was held before the start of the season, between the Spanish champions and the King's Cup champion, in one final round-trip.
Four clubs will participate in the new version, Barcelona (the champion of the league), Valencia (cup champion), Atletico Madrid (summer league) and Real Madrid (third league).
The tournament will be held in the semi-final and final system with the knockout rate, where the semi-final matches will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, with the final match taking place on Sunday
Real Madrid will face Valencia in the first semi-final on Wednesday, while Barcelona will face Atlético de Madrid on Thursday, in the second semi-final, with expectations for a historic "Classico" confrontation on Arab soil, if Real Madrid and Barcelona qualify for the final match.
The "radioactive jewel" stadium, at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, will host the three matches of the historical championship.
Jeddah will be the second Arab city in a row, to host the Spanish Super Cup, as the Moroccan city of Tangier hosted the Super Final (from one match) before the start of last season, between Barcelona and Seville, and the Catalan club won 2-1.
And will stop the Spanish league matches this week, to resume on the 20th of this month, after the end of the Super Championship.
