A delegation from the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry visited the headquarters of the Homs Chamber of Industry today. This visit comes within the framework of efforts aimed at enhancing joint coordination, reviewing the issues and concerns of industrialists, and working to unify their demands to be submitted to the relevant authorities in an organized and effective manner.
During the meeting, the most prominent challenges facing the industrial sector were discussed, particularly those related to the business and production environment, operating costs, and procedural difficulties. Additionally, they discussed mechanisms to enhance the role of industrialists in formulating economic and industrial policies.
Mazen Dirwan, Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Industry, confirmed that this visit is part of a genuine participatory approach aimed at bringing the concerns of industrialists from the ground to the decision-making table. He emphasized that industrialists are essential partners in the process of economic development and that unifying their demands gives them greater strength and influence in reaching practical and sustainable solutions. He added that the Federation is working to strengthen communication channels with chambers of industry in the provinces to ensure accurate and transparent representation of industrialists' interests.
For his part, Eng. Nasouh Baroudi, Chairman of the Homs Chamber of Industry, affirmed that the meeting constitutes an important opportunity to align viewpoints and unify the industrial discourse. He pointed out that Homs industrialists possess applicable visions and proposals that contribute to improving the investment and production environment and supporting the recovery of the national industry. He stressed the importance of effectively involving industrialists in decision-making as they are among the fundamental pillars of the Syrian economy.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the necessity of continuing periodic meetings and intensifying coordination to ensure that the voice of industrialists remains unified and strong, and to contribute to drawing economic policies that are more responsive to the needs of the industrial sector.
