Mane was crowned the Best African Player this year, after he won 477 votes, surpassing his Liverpool teammate, Mohamed Salah, who garnered 325 votes, a difference of 152 votes, and the Algerian Riad Mehrez, who won 267 votes.
Mani received the award from the President of the Federation, Ahmed Ahmed, and said, "I am very happy and proud to win this award. I thank my colleagues in the Senegalese national team and also Liverpool for their support."
Mani won the award for the first time in his history, after he finished second in the award last year, behind Salah, who was crowned the award in the past two versions.
