Many citizens in the Daraa governorate expressed their dissatisfaction with the large price of medicines in pharmacies, which varied from one type to another, and a number of them indicated that the drug is not a type of food that can be dispensed in the event of its high price, but rather an urgent need and necessary for the recovery of humans and does not make sense of manipulation And mood in determining its price, where it is noted that each pharmacy sells on its whims and sets the value on the packaging with a pen stroke without any controls, and they deplore what is happening, especially since none of the general public has yet heard the issuance of any decision that raises the price of the drug, and they demanded the supervisory authorities to follow up factories and production companies Medicines, their import and warehouse Distributed by pharmacies that sell them, ending the state of chaos and lawlessness taking place under the silence of the concerned authorities.
When reviewing some pharmacies and inquiring about the reason for raising the price of the drug and whether it has new price regulations from the relevant guardianship authorities, among their owners that they have nothing to do with raising the price, and the reason is due to the warehouses that distribute the medicine to them, as it raised the selling price of many types and varieties, whether Including imported or locally produced in varying proportions, and accordingly the price was raised in the pharmacy, indicating that the warehouses justify the process of raising the price that drug factories and companies are the ones that raised the prices, and one of the pharmacists revealed that there are pages on Facebook that publish new prices for the drug according to each Factory or company, Pharmacists are involved and in which the new prices deriving them and they lift it on this basis, add this to the adoption of the new prices, which are given to the quantities distributed medicine recently on them from the warehouses.
And by referring to Dr. Ashraf Bermo, the director of Daraa health, and asking him whether the raising of the price of the medicine obtained in the market is based on an official decision or not, he made it clear that there is no official decision yet to raise the price of the medicine, pointing out that the Daraa Health Directorate does not take the published prices on Social media, and if the Ministry of Health issues new prices for the drug, it will be circulated immediately to the relevant authorities, but until this moment nothing has arrived in this regard.
It should be noted that in previous times when the exchange rate of the lira was declining, there was a random prevalence and chaos similar to what is happening now regarding the pricing of the drug, which indicates the indifference of the supervisory authorities and the neglect of the pricing authorities, which requires controlling what is happening and deterring the violators, and the exit of those concerned to Citizens and clarify the reality of what is happening, as it is unreasonable that they are ignorant of the prevailing drug price hikes recently, unless they know and ignore until the price hike process passes and people are accustomed to it without any reaction or controls.
