Syrian-Chinese Efforts to Facilitate Merchant Visas and Launch Direct Cargo Flight Line
Dr. Anas Al-Bou, Director of the Foreign Relations Department and Board Member of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, concluded an official visit to the People's Republic of China, which featured high-level economic and trade meetings. The meetings were held in the presence of Mr. Zakaria Lababidi, Chargé d'Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Beijing, and in coordination with the Syrian-Chinese Business Council, headed by Mr. Fadi Al-Mahmeed.
The visit resulted in key understandings to enhance commercial cooperation, most notably:

Periodic Business Salon: Agreeing with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade to launch a periodic "Syrian-Chinese Business Salon" in Beijing to stimulate sectoral partnerships between the two countries.

Visa Facilitation: Requesting Chinese authorities to expedite visa issuance procedures for Syrian businessmen to support investment movement.

Transport and Shipping: Discussing positive indicators for launching a direct air cargo line soon, and requesting an end to the current single shipping company monopoly by accrediting additional maritime carriers to reduce costs.

Bilateral Meetings: Holding talks with the China Chamber of International Commerce to intensify delegation exchanges and organize joint economic events
