Mr. Alaa al-Ali, President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, held a meeting at the Federation's headquarters in Damascus with Mr. Hisham Naji, the Commercial Attaché at the Tunisian Embassy to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The meeting aimed to discuss ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries and open new horizons for trade and investment exchange to serve the interests of the business communities in both Syria and Tunisia.The meeting was attended by the Vice President of the Federation, Essam Al-Ghariwati, board member Nashat Al-Rifai, and members of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce, alongside Mona Al-Hassan, Head of the Maghreb Countries Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.The attendees discussed mechanisms to strengthen communication between economic sectors by organizing business meetings, expanding partnerships, and activating mutual visits, while facilitating the entry of merchants and operating direct flights to support trade exchange.Furthermore, the Tunisian side reviewed the current state of trade and industry, highlighting the role of the Export Promotion Center and chambers of commerce in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).The meeting concluded with an agreement to participate in specialized exhibitions and organize economic forums, alongside activating communication channels between the relevant institutions to turn these discussions into practical steps that serve mutual interests
