Syrian-Uzbek Economic Forum in Aleppo: New Horizons for Joint Trade and Investment
The Syrian-Uzbek Economic Forum is being held in Aleppo under the auspices of the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Industry. The event is jointly organized by the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce. This initiative aims to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan, implementing the outcomes of the Syrian Federation of Chambers of Commerce delegation's visit to Uzbekistan in February 2026.
The forum features a high-level Uzbek economic delegation. It aims to develop economic relations between the two nations and open new horizons for cooperation and joint investment. This will be achieved by reviewing key investment and trade opportunities available in various economic sectors of both Syria and Uzbekistan. Additionally, the event explores the potential for establishing joint ventures and partnerships to boost trade and investment exchange between the two sides.
The event also aims to enhance economic, industrial, and commercial cooperation, exchange expertise between companies and institutions in both countries, and build direct communication bridges through business-to-business (B2B) meetings bringing together businessmen and investors from both nations.
The conference will witness prominent official and economic participation, including Saeed Sheikh Al-Kar, Chairman of the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce; Alaa Al-Ali, Chairman of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce; Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan; and Ayubkhan Yunusov, the Uzbek Ambassador to Kuwait. These participations are expected to enhance economic dialogue and open new channels of cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
The forum is anticipated to serve as an important platform to strengthen the economic presence between Damascus and Tashkent, driving trade and investment relations toward a more effective and open phase in the coming period
