The dollar affects the broiler! .. And feed prices rise 39 percent in a month

At a time when the director of the Homs poultry facility, Mohammed Qaimar, revealed that the poultry sector is currently suffering greatly due to high production costs due to the change in the dollar exchange rate against the lira. 39.5 percent.

He explained that the price of a kilo of soy reached 335 pounds and corn exceeded 165 pounds, an increase, pointing out that this increase did not overlook the price of the product, but almost doubled the cost of the product, while the sale price did not rise.

He stressed that the reluctance of poultry farmers to raise chickens led to lower prices because of lack of demand, pointing out that poultry farmers are currently slaughtering regiments of broiler and laying eggs for their inability to breed.

He pointed out that the importation of feed is through traders and not through government institutions because of unilateral coercive measures against Syria.
