The first industrial conference in Syria established to promote the food industry sector and obtain international accreditation certificates

It seems that food processing is moving in a new direction through the wide interest of government agencies, especially those concerned with the level of agricultural and animal production, which constitutes the main component of this industry, and this is not limited to the public industrial sector, but applies to similar in the private sector, where All efforts in the field of securing an advanced industrial food product according to the latest technologies and specifications required.
On this basis, the first conference of its kind was held yesterday in Syria on (Foundations and rules of the qualitative advancement of food industries) in Al-Assad Library in Damascus under the title «Our food industry efficiency and efficiency and exports according to international regulations», where Minister of Industry Mohammed Zein Al-Abidin attracted the importance of holding this conference It is held for the first time in cooperation with Arab quality makers, with the aim of addressing the most important types of industrial work and research in its aspects as it touches the daily needs of citizens, and more importantly, it is a major component of the national industry, which is the largest supporter of the national economy with a significant contribution to the increase of GDP .
In order to achieve this contribution, the Ministry of Industry seeks to exploit the available resources, in the agricultural and animal sectors, which constitute the main component of the food industries, in addition to enhancing partnership with the private sector similar in its production, in order to achieve the basic objectives of development and modernization in the sector. The same, in the forefront of securing the need of the local market of foodstuffs and commodities, and before the absorption of the entire agricultural and livestock production and benefit from it to achieve the said goal, not to mention the attention of the export sector in order to export surplus.
Therefore, the Ministry has taken a number of encouraging measures, including legislation and decisions, including the rehabilitation of industrial cities, and the promotion of industrial agriculture and livestock, and up to a competitive industrial food product with adequate quality and prices through which it can compete and attend strongly in the domestic and foreign markets, which in turn ensures increased contribution Food sector in GDP.
Reem Hala Lee, Director General of the General Organization for Food Industries, stressed the importance of holding this conference in circumstances where the food sector is witnessing the development and modernization of production lines and the introduction of new products, especially among the Corporation's companies, thus benefiting from the experiences of others in the field of food processing, standardization, quality and industrial tests. Access to a competitive product and export capacity that can be accessed to the broadest markets, and this is what we seek to achieve the products of industrial companies that manufacture food.
Nabal Bakflouni, Director General of the Center for Development of Productive Management, said that the conference seeks to consolidate a set of foundations, in particular the enhancement of knowledge in the fields of industrial laboratories rehabilitation, storage and warehouse management, industrial education, and how to benefit from available expertise, and even scientific means and used to develop lines.
