The opening of the irrigation project for Al-Harjala town in Damascus countryside

Today, the Damascus countryside governorate has put into service the project to irrigate the town of Al-Harjlah, at a cost of close to one billion and 200 million pounds, and as a center for citizen service.
 
The director of the Water Corporation in Damascus and its countryside, Engineer Mazen Al-Shibli, explained that the irrigation project includes drilling a well with a depth of 1200 meters and a profusion of 60 cubic meters per hour, which feeds the entire town of Harjala, indicating the establishment of two tanks with a capacity of 2000 cubic meters per hour and the second 500 cubic meters and pumping water in them through a main network of the well .
 
Al-Shibli indicated that the project will solve a problem dating back more than twenty years, as the townspeople were suffering from water scarcity, while it will be pumped daily and 24 hours a day.
 
Mayor of Al-Harjala Municipality Abdul Rahman Al-Khatib indicated that the project is vital and fully serves the town of Al-Harjala.
 
In turn, the director of the Citizen Service Center, Zahra Muhammad Ali Al-Saidi, pointed out that the Citizen Service Center is the only one in the region and is able to serve more than 150 thousand references from the residents of Al-Hurgla and around it and saves time, effort and money as it provides documents such as the issuance of a registration and a statement "family, marriage, death and divorce" and no ruling He must add a non-working document stating that the employees underwent pre-opening training and qualification courses.
 
In a press statement between the Governor of Damascus countryside, Engineer Alaa Munir Ibrahim, that these projects come within the province's plan to rehabilitate public facilities and services in all regions, calling on economic activities to get involved and participate in reconstruction and reconstruction work to shorten time, effort and money.
 
After the opening, the governor briefed on the construction works of the sports stadium and the Olympic swimming pool in the town, participated in a ceremony to honor children with disabilities, and opened a center for the mentally handicapped in the city of Al-Kiswah.
