Al Baraka Bank Syria Strategic Partner of the Ninth Syrian National Programming Competition
Under the patronage of the President of the Baath University, and with the participation of about 520 students from 20 Syrian public and private universities, the competition was held ACM SCPC Syrian Collegiate Programming Contest, which is the most prominent scientific event among the Syrian scientific activities of the year.
The competition aims to provide students with high-level software skills in understanding problems, analyzing text, proposing a solution, creating and turning it into an executable program.
Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Halabi, Chief Executive Officer of Al Baraka Bank Syria said: “We are delighted to co-sponsor the event which has contributed to presenting Syria's students as the world's elite students through outstanding successes in Arab and international participation and ranking 21 globally. We do our part to support students for creativity in both Artificial Intelligence and Problem Solving techniques, which are today's technologies and the way forward.
The activities of the competition this year included about 2500 students from different Syrian universities. Preparation for the competition lasted for two months with 70 teams selected from 274 teams tested in the first phase.
The competition is held under international standards under the supervision of the Regional and International Center of the competition. Approximately 20 teams will be nominated to participate in the regional competition in cooperation with the Regional Center, which will be held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
The competition was organized by the Excellence and Creativity Commission and the Syrian Software Competition. During the final ceremony, Al Baraka Bank was honored.
