Customs: Control many cases of fraud and the introduction of smugglers with old customs data
The head of the customs control department Lieutenant Colonel Iyad Adra revealed the seizure of four warehouses in Lattakia, which include smugglers, mostly spare parts and maintenance of cars and various sanitary equipment, in addition to an industrial number. He pointed out that there is a situation of tightening in dealing with the phenomenon of smuggling, and that any case is seized, and dealt with in accordance with the laws and regulations, revealing a decrease in the movement of smuggling recently.
The presenter stressed that customs are not aiming through their intensive campaigns and tightening them in dealing with the phenomenon of smuggling confusing commercial activity, but the implementation of economic policy and the protection of national industry and the Syrian pound, especially as the country is going through a difficult economic situation due to the state of war and the unfair economic blockade imposed years ago.
He pointed out that there are permanent instructions to the elements to focus on the implementation of customs duties in accordance with the regulations in force, and that there is a case of follow-up to the elements and continuous evaluation.
