The Australian researchers had earlier patented this technology to the authorities in their country.

Sulfur has great potential, because it has a high energy density, and batteries containing lithium and sulfur can store up to 10 times more energy, compared to lithium-ion batteries.
But there is a defect or weakness in these mighty batteries, as their shelf life decreases, if the charges are more than normal, and before they run out.
This eventually leads to an increase in the size of the battery electrodes and consequently their degradation.
Scientists are trying to overcome this dilemma by creating bonds between the sulfur molecules, and they hope it will extend battery life.
