The government approves a (price document) for materials financed by the Central Bank and imported materials from the Ministry of Commerce
The Council of Ministers adopted a series of decisions to ensure the flow of basic materials to citizens at reasonable prices and quantities that meet the needs of markets, after a series of successive meetings of the Economic Committee in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers during the past days.
The Council approved in its weekly session on Sunday, a "price document" through which the prices of materials financed by the Central Bank and other imported materials from the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection In all outlets of public and private sectors in the governorates.
The decisions included the continuation of financing the list of basic and necessary items, namely rice, sugar, oils, salmon, tea, baby milk, mate, agricultural seeds and medicines in parallel with the Syrian trade distribution of a consumer basket through the family book at a fixed and fixed price.
The decisions included expanding the role of the local community in controlling markets and prices. Governors and local councils were asked to form committees at the local level in cities, villages and towns to follow up the reality of markets in coordination with the Ministry of Internal Trade.
It was decided to issue a weekly price bulletin from the Ministry of Internal Trade and the executive offices in the governorates to be announced in all media and official websites of ministries and governorates and city and town councils and social networking pages.
The Council stressed on the ministries and public bodies to complete the opening of the outlets of the Syrian Trade Foundation in order to serve employees and ensure the provision of materials marketed by the Foundation at moderate prices.
In another issue, the Council adopted the strategy of the ministries of local administration and transport related to internal road transport and at the provincial level in addition to rail and air transport through a plan in the short, medium and long term. Consider the number and distribution of the population, the appropriate means of transport, the system of fair pricing and the controls of the work of mass transport mechanisms on internal and inter-governorate lines and their pricing in accordance with the controls and indicators governing them.
The Ministry of Local Administration was asked to develop the garage stations, develop a plan to maintain the buses that are not working, establish internal transport companies in the governorates and enhance the role of the private sector in developing the internal transport service.
The Minister of Local Administration gave a presentation on the recently opened industrial zones in Dreikish and Sheikh Badr in Tartous Governorate, which have a total cost of LBP2 billion and include approximately 268 dividers.
The Council approved the letter of the Ministry of Education, which includes the provision of buses from public authorities to transport 400 teachers and teachers in the province of Raqqa to their workplaces daily to ensure the smooth operation of the educational process.
